Seven detained after four teens injured in multiple person stabbing
Four teenagers have been rushed to hospital after being stabbed in Walthamstow, in north east London.
Officers were called to reports of multiple stabbings on Thornbury Way at 9.03pm this evening and have made seven arrests. Chilling pictures have since emerged of a knife at Mansion Court, as forensic experts swarmed on the scene.
All of the victims are said to be in non-life threatening conditions – but were all taken to hospital with ‘stab/slash’ wounds, according the Metropolitan Police’s Waltham Forest twitter account. The force added that the injured males are aged 15 – 16.
The arrests in connection with the incident were for violent disorder, possession of an offensive weapon and affray. A large crime scene remained in place in the area last night.
The Met say officers have been given additional stop and search powers under Section 60 in the Walthamstow, Leytonstone and Leyton areas.
Waltham Forest Police tweeted: ‘Officers are currently on scene dealing with a multiple person stabbing in Walthamstow, E17.
‘All victims are receiving treatment in hospital and we await an update on their condition.
‘This is an isolated incident and we don’t believe there is a risk to members of the public.
‘Road closures are currently in place in and around Thornbury Way, E17.
